BOBBY and MANDEE'S TOO SMART FOR BULLIES by Robert Kahn and Sharon Chandler is a wonderful instructional book of great importance. Told through the eyes of the children, Bobby and Mandee, talk to the child reader telling them what to do, when and if, they are confronted by a bully. A summary of the book is presented to the children in question form that will cause the child to think about an answer of resolution to a particular situation. This technique is sure to stick in your child's memory. Also included in the book, is a blank page for "code words" and a "list of safe grown-ups to call" for personal use. BOBBY and MANDEE'S TOO SAFE FOR STRANGERS by Robert Kahn is a wonderfully thorough instruction book written to help children understand and recognize what a stranger is. The book gives examples of how children are often tricked into running off with a stranger. It also includes a list of people to go to in case of an emergency such as fire fighters and teachers. A Q & A, at the end of the book, summarizes the book's contents, while refreshing children's memories of what they had just read. This book is highly recommended by this reviewer and her children.
